From Idea to Implementation: A Ranked Choice Voting and Voting Systems Symposium

UPDATE: Due to an overwhelming number of requests to deliver our Symposium on-line through our Go-To-Webinar system and some unforeseen conflicts in schedules for our election administrators and some panelists, we have changed the format of the event to online only.

Have no worries though – efforts are already underway to provide the same panels and sessions as planned for the in-person event, and we will be scheduling these on-line sessions for the same dates – April 23 & 24, 2018. In the coming days, we will publish the updated agenda and Go-To-Webinar registration links. The online symposium will be free and provide greater opportunity for more participants.

Below is the old page for the Symposium. We will be making updates to this page in line with our new online Symposium plans this week.

Join election administrators, elected and government officials, voting systems representatives, and RCV proponents for this symposium focused on:

  • Best practices and case studies for ranked choice voting (RCV) presented by some of the country’s leading election experts;
  • Voting system demonstrations and presentations from the nation’s voting system vendors;
  • Discussions about RCV and the process for implementing by election administrators who have administered this voting method.

The Ranked Choice Voting Resource Center provides a compilation of best practices and first-hand experiences from jurisdictions that have used this method of voting. The website and overall project serve as a resource for voters, election administrators, policy makers, and candidates. Our role is not advocacy focused. Rather, our primary mission is to provide research, education, and training about ranked choice voting. Our services are free, including travel, through our current grant funding.
